Среди многих проблем, которые есть в России, нам хочется изучать те, про которые говорить или не хотят, или стесняются.

Например – эпидемия ВИЧ и СПИДа. Про нее говорят отдельные активисты, но точно не все вокруг.

Многие думали, что это болезнь осталась где-то в 90-х и точно не добралась до эпохи высокоскоростного интернета. Но это – не так.

В России живет более 1 млн людей с ВИЧ.

В России только в прошлом году умерли от СПИДа 37 000 человек, в среднем это – 100 человек в день.

По числу новых заболеваний ВИЧ Россия сравнима — и в это действительно тяжело поверить — со многими странами Африки.

Когда мы брались за этот выпуск, у нас был простой мотив: рассказать людям – в первую очередь молодым – про то, как не оказаться в этой статистике.

Но уже погрузившись в тему, мы поняли, что помимо страшных цифр, есть другая проблема. Люди, живущие с ВИЧ в России, постоянно подвергаются дискриминации, их стесняются, их избегают, ими брезгуют.

В Нижнем Новгороде находится место, которое летом 2019 года стало символом этой дискриминации. На эту турбазу должны были приехать на отдых несколько десятков детей с положительным ВИЧ-статусом. Сотрудники турбазы, узнав об этом, отказались их обслуживать; отдыхать пришлось в другом месте.

Случился громкий скандал, возмущались даже в телевизоре, к проверке турбазы подключилась прокуратура, а на ее сотрудников обрушилось максимальное общественное осуждение. Нам совершенно не хочется провоцировать это осуждение вновь, мы прекрасно понимаем, что тот отказ – не из-за того, что у этих людей мусорные ведра вместо сердец. Тот отказ – из-за незнания.

Interstellar is a 2014 science fiction film directed by Christopher Nolan. Starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Michael Caine, the film features a team of space travelers who travel through a wormhole in search of a new habitable planet. It was written by Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan, Christopher combined his idea with an existing script by his brother that was developed in 2007 for Paramount Pictures and producer Lynda Obst. Nolan is producing the film with Obst and Emma Thomas. Theoretical physicist Kip Thorne, whose works inspired the film, acted as both an executive producer and a scientific consultant for the film.

Warner Bros., who produced and distributed some of Nolans previous films, negotiated with Paramount, traditionally a rival studio, to have a financial stake in Interstellar. Legendary Pictures, which formerly partnered with Warner Bros., also sought a stake. The three companies co-financed the film, and the production companies Syncopy and Lynda Obst Productions were enlisted. The director also hired cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema since his long-time collaborator Wally Pfister was busy working on Transcendence, his directorial debut. Interstellar was filmed with a combination of anamorphic 35 mm and IMAX 70 mm film photography. Filming took place in the last quarter of 2013 in locations in the province of Alberta, Canada, in southern Iceland, and in Los Angeles, California. The visual effects company Double Negative created visual effects for Interstellar.

Interstellar premiered on October 26, 2014 in Los Angeles, California. Commercially, it is scheduled for a limited release in North America (United States and Canada) on November 5, 2014 and a wide release on November 7, 2014. It will also be released in Belgium, France and Switzerland on November 5, 2014 and in additional territories in the following days, including the United Kingdom on November 7, 2014. For the limited release in North America, it will be released in 70 mm and 35 mm film formats in approximately 240 theaters which still project the formats, including at least 41 70 mm IMAX theaters. For the wide release, it will expand to theaters that will show it in digital format. Paramount Pictures will distribute the film in North America, and Warner Bros. will distribute it in the remaining territories

Well here it is, the «Holy Grail» and «Old Testament» of keyboard literature. It does not really make sense to post yet another recording of the WTC, and by an amateur who is barely scratching the surface of this priceless music. But hey, there is worse stuff on YouTube, and I am somewhat proud of these recordings from 2009-2014. While flawed in many ways, they are many times better than my first recording (from 2007-2008 I think).

I am much indebted to the good folks at Piano Society, especially to Andreas Pfaul, for their stern but honest feedback and their many useful suggestions which enabled me to do a much better job the second time round.

I know Ill want to improve on these one day, even the greats do. This music is so much better than anyone could ever play it — Bach is always ahead of you, beckoning, challenging, and leading the way. He is both a hard task master and a gentle teacher. Sheesh, I can get really religious about Bach :) No other composer does that to me. I would think myself weird if I did not know that many people feel the same.

I never took any video footage for these. My apologies for being a lazy sod and not providing imagery or sheets to go along with the music. This just seems too much work for such a large video. And anyway, one should concentrate on the music rather than watching pictures or checking notes against the score :) At least Ill provide the titles and starting times as usual. Let me know what you think!
