ABOUT ME
I am a professional duduk player and educator.

I studied in Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory. I studied the duduk with Suren Asaduryan and Özcan Gül. I joined in Erkan Oğur’s and Derya Türkans workshops, who are two prominent representatives of Anatolian music.

It is possible to hear both Turkish and Armenian and also Ottoman Classical Music modes and patterns in my playing style. I have contributed to many albums and music productions with my duduk throughout my career. I composed music for quartet (duduk, piano, double bass, drums) and founded the band “Canberk Ulaş Quartet” in 2015 and I released my album titled “Telafi" with this band in 2017.

I continue working on my music projects, giving concerts in different parts of the world and giving duduk online lessons to duduk lovers from all over the world.

Bach - The Art of Fugue, BWV 1080 [complete on Organ]


The Art of Fugue or The Art of the Fugue (original German: Die Kunst der Fuge), BWV 1080, is an incomplete masterpiece by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685--1750). The work was most likely started at the beginning of the 1740s, if not earlier. The first known surviving version, which contained 12 fugues and 2 canons, was copied by the composer in 1745. This manuscript has a slightly different title, added afterwards by his son-in-law Johann Christoph Altnickol: Die Kunst der Fuga. Bachs second version was published in 1751 after his death. It contains 14 fugues and 4 canons. «The governing idea of the work», as the eminent Bach specialist Christoph Wolff put it, is «an exploration in depth of the contrapuntal possibilities inherent in a single musical subject.»

Andreas is a Countertenor. Born into a family of singers, Scholl was enrolled at the age of seven into the boys choir. Aged 13, he was chosen from 20,000 choristers gathered in Rome from around the world to sing solo at a Mass held on 4 January 1981. Just four years later, Scholl was offered a place at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, an institution that normally accepts only post-graduate students, based on the strength and quality of his voice. He has since become an instructor at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, succeeding his own teacher, Richard Levitt.

Scholls early operatic roles include his standing in for René Jacobs in 1993 at the Théâtre Grévin in Paris, where he caused a sensation. His major roles, such as his debut at Glyndebourne in 1998 as Bertarido in Handels Rodelinda, a role he reprised at the Metropolitan Opera in 2006, were written for the 18th-century alto castrato Senesino.

The bulk of Scholls recording career has been with Harmonia Mundi and Decca, and his CDs are among Harmonia Mundis best sellers. He has worked with most contemporary Baroque specialists, including William Christie and Philippe Herreweghe, and is himself a songwriter and composer of ballet and theatre music, with his own professional sound studio in Basel, Switzerland.

Bach - Concerto for two violins in D minor BWV 1043 - Sato and Deans | Netherlands Bach Society


The two solo parts of the Concerto for two violins in D minor, performed by the Netherlands Bach Society for All of Bach, have survived in Bach’s own handwriting. This autograph dates from around 1730, a few years after the composer had moved from Köthen to Leipzig. Bach composed most of his instrumental concertos in the period 1717–1723, while working at the court of Leopold von Anhalt-Köthen, but this work appears to be an exception.

The mandolin was essentially the instrument of amateur musicians in the early to mid 18th century. Vivaldi composed many concertos and trios for the young ladies of the Ospiedale della Pieta – including the famous G major RV532, which must rank as one of his most popular works after the Four Seasons.
The concertos and trios on this CD make a delightful programme, written for the pleasure of gifted students and patrons, full of the hallmarks of Vivaldian style that will not disappoint those who love the famous Four Seasons violin concertos from his Op.8 set. Simple, catchy melodies abound, in both still and often poignant slow movements as well as sparky fast movements.

— Frederico Gugliemo studied with Salvatore Accardo, Isaac Stern and The Amadeus, LaSalle and Quartetto Italiano string quartets before turning to period instrument performance under the guidance of Christopher Hogwood.
