Lyrics:

I have climbed the highest mountains
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you.

I have run, I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
These city walls
Only to be with you.

But I still havent found
What Im looking for.
But I still havent found
What Im looking for.

I have kissed honey lips
Felt the healing in her finger tips
It burned like fire
(I was) burning inside her.

I have spoke with the tongue of angels
I have held the hand of a devil
It was warm in the night
I was cold as a stone.

But I still havent found
What Im looking for.
But I still havent found
What Im looking for.

I believe in the Kingdom Come
Then all the colours will bleed into one
Bleed into one.
But yes, Im still running.

You broke the bonds
And you loosed the chains
Carried the cross of my shame
Oh my shame, you know I believe it.

But I still havent found
What Im looking for.
But I still havent found
What Im looking for.

But I still havent found
What Im looking for.
But I still havent found
What Im looking for.

Franz Schubert String Quintet in C Major, D. 956

Played by The Borodin Quartet With Alexander Buzlov (cello) — The Quintet was to be Schubert’s last completed chamber work. Just a few weeks after having completed the Quintet, Schubert died at three o’clock in the afternoon on November 19, 1828. It is widely believed to be among the handful of greatest chamber works ever composed.

The Borodin Quartet was formed in 1945 by four students from the Moscow Conservatory. Calling itself the Moscow Philharmonic Quartet, the group changed its name to Borodin Quartet ten years later and remains one of the very few existing established chamber ensembles with uninterrupted longevity. The current members of the Quartet are Ruben Aharonian, Sergei Lomovsky, Igor Naidin and Vladimir Balshin.

☛ «she is a beautiful and technically accomplished player», «the light hand in interpretation makes this performance preferable to Hewitt (the later recording on Hyperion) or Schiff (ECM, Jan/Feb 2013)»
— American Record Guide, July-August 2015

☛ «Ishizaka plays the 24 preludes and fugues with impeccable taste and technique, finding many levels of musical meaning even as she brings utmost clarity to the multiplicity of textures.», «She scales her Bach to the rhythmic, structural and sonic needs of the music, without touching the sustaining pedal.»
— Donald Rosenberg, Gramophone Magazine

☛ «A gifted and obviously devoted Bachian»
— James Oestreich, New York Times

☛ «in all the years, all the versions, I have never heard „Book 1“ done better», «The results are fabulous. There is a great grace to what she gives us, a marvelous clarity, a sense of totality that is a very real joy to hear. She takes Bach at his word, that each part is important in the ultimate contrapuntal result. You hear Bach with new ears.»
— Gapplegate Classical-Modern Music Review, February 26, 2015

☛ «elegant, spirited, technically impressive, and ever sensitive to the expressive character of the music», «A brilliant performance and brilliant set all around!»
— Robert Cummings, Classical.net

☛ «This is a recording to change your perception of the Well Tempered Klavier.»
— Campbell Vertesi, The Cast, March 20, 2015

Glenn Gould plays Bach - The Goldberg Variations, BMV 998 (Zenph re-performance)

Description from Zenphs website:

Glenn Goulds debut album of Bachs Goldberg Variations was recorded in June 1955. The Columbia LP quickly became one of the most revered piano recordings ever made and Gould became the most famous classical artist of the day. His exciting, unorthodox new way of playing Bach left listeners awestruck and critics around the world hailing him as a genius. But until recently this iconic album was limited by the dated recording technology of its time.

On September 25, 2006, history was made again. Zenph Studios recorded its debut re-performance® to standing ovations in the CBCs famed Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. The date would have been Glenn Goulds 74th birthday, and what a gift Zenph created to give his fans.

The Zenph re-performance is a revelation in its clarity, depth, and vibrancy. Gould seems to play at an almost inhuman speed and yet with complete accuracy. The 30 variations dazzle the listener with their inventiveness and variety. As music historian and Gould biographer Kevin Bazzana writes in the CDs liner notes, «Here, albeit with his trademark vocalizing no longer accompanying the performance, Goulds musical personality is unquestionably present...»

Among the most revered virtuosos of all time, Nicolò Paganini was a true musical legend of his era, inspiring musicians such as Robert Schumann to forge his own career as a pianist. Franz Schubert was also a regular audience member at Paganini’s concerts, despite the outlandish ticket prices.

Paganini often remarked that, despite his legendary status as a violinist, he found it rather difficult to compose for the instrument. This release presents Paganinis complete violin concertos, performed by violinist Alexandre Dubach accompanied by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo.

Nicolò Paganini
