Апостол Павел говорит что, участвуя недостойно в вечере Господней, мы можем участвовать в осуждение себе. Что означает достойное участие?
Павел, обращаясь к Коринфской церкви, писал о том, что когда они собираются на вечерю, вкушают хлеб и принимаю чашу, то возвещают смерть Господню. Что значит возвещать смерть Господню? Это значит громко говорить о ней, свидетельствовать, провозглашать о смерти Иисуса Христа.
Зачем это нужно делать? Священное Писание указывает «хлеб сей и чашу сию, когда мы едим», в этот момент мы возвещаем смерть Иисуса Христа. Символичным образом, это указывает на нашу собственную причастность к этому событию.
Возвещая смерть Христа, мы принимаем на себя большую ответственность, мы можем оказаться либо в достойном, либо в недостойном положении перед Господом.
Если человек узнал о смерти Иисуса Христа, прекрасно осознает, что Он умер за него, но при этом отвергает жизнь Иисуса Христа, то он становится виновным в том, что сделал Господь.
Увидеть себя реально так, как Господь смотрит на нас, это и есть главный смысл того, чтобы предстать перед Господом достойно. И Он, видя всё плохое в нас, вместе с тем благословляет, оживляет и дает новые возможности для того, чтобы подняться.
Если мы рассуждаем о теле Господнем, тогда мы едим и пьем достойно.
Принимая вечерю Господню, мы также должны рассуждать о своих братьях и сестрах, которые возможно не имеют того, что имеем мы, может быть им тоже необходима какая-то поддержка и помощь.
«Ибо всякий раз, когда вы едите хлеб сей и пьете чашу сию, смерть Господню возвещаете, доколе Он придет. Посему, кто будет есть хлеб сей или пить чашу Господню недостойно, виновен будет против Тела и Крови Господней. Да испытывает же себя человек, и таким образом пусть ест от хлеба сего и пьет из чаши сей. Ибо кто ест и пьет недостойно, тот ест и пьет осуждение себе, не рассуждая о Теле Господнем. Оттого многие из вас немощны и больны и немало умирает. Ибо если бы мы судили сами себя, то не были бы судимы. Будучи же судимы, наказываемся от Господа, чтобы не быть осужденными с миром. Посему, братия мои, собираясь на вечерю, друг друга ждите. А если кто голоден, пусть ест дома, чтобы собираться вам не на осуждение. Прочее устрою, когда приду» (Первое послание к Коринфянам Святого Апостола Павла 11:26-34)
