Пронзительный и трагический рассказ о событиях, участником которых оказывается сам граф Лев Николаевич Толстой. В пехотном полку в Тульской области, куда отправляется на службу вдохновленный передовыми идеями столичный поручик Григорий Колокольцев, происходит военное преступление. Солдату, на плечи которого ложится вина, грозит военный трибунал и расстрел. Колокольцев обращается за помощью к графу Толстому, который решает защитить невиновного. Острая история о сложности выбора и верности собственным идеалам основана на реальных событиях.
Это история русских, американцев, аборигенов Крайнего Севера, история мужчины и женщины на войне. Любовь русского офицера и американской летчицы Мэри Маклейн сталкивается с языковыми и культурными барьерами, из-за чего возникает множество курьезных и нелепых, а иногда и трагических ситуаций.
А рядом с полярным аэродромом существует другой мир — мир местных эскимосов, живущих далекой от войны жизнью. Правда солдат непонятна эскимосу, ведь: «Человек стреляет в зверя, чтобы съесть его или получить шкуру, из которой можно сделать одежду или лодку. Тогда зачем он стреляет в другого человека, если не собирается его есть?».

The legend surrounding the Goldberg Variations, performed here by Jean Rondeau for All of Bach, is such a nice one. Count Hermann Karl von Keyserlinck was having trouble sleeping and asked Bach for some pleasant music to pass the time, to be played by Keyserlinck’s harpsichord prodigy Johann Gottlieb Goldberg.

The Art of Fugue or The Art of the Fugue (original German: Die Kunst der Fuge), BWV 1080, is an incomplete masterpiece by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685--1750). The work was most likely started at the beginning of the 1740s, if not earlier. The first known surviving version, which contained 12 fugues and 2 canons, was copied by the composer in 1745. This manuscript has a slightly different title, added afterwards by his son-in-law Johann Christoph Altnickol: Die Kunst der Fuga. Bachs second version was published in 1751 after his death. It contains 14 fugues and 4 canons. «The governing idea of the work», as the eminent Bach specialist Christoph Wolff put it, is «an exploration in depth of the contrapuntal possibilities inherent in a single musical subject.»

Komm, Jesu, komm, mein Leib ist müde, performed by the Netherlands Bach Society for All of Bach, used to be known amongst singers from Leipzig as ‘Der saure Weg’, after the most difficult phrase in the piece. The path to its origin is a straighter one, as although we still do not know precisely for whom Bach wrote this piece, it is anyway clear that he composed it himself. Moreover, we can presume that it is a funeral or memorial motet.

This wonderful story happened in the age of valiant knights, beautiful princesses, and battling sorcerers. Ruslan, a wandering artist dreaming to become a knight, met beautiful Mila and fell in love with her; he didn’t even suspect that she is the King’s daughter. However, the lovers’ happiness wasn’t meant to last too long. Chоrnomor, the evil sorcerer, appeared in a magic vortex and stole Mila right before Ruslan’s eyes to transform her power of love into his own magic power. Without further ado, Ruslan sets out on a chase after the stolen princess to overcome all obstacles and to prove that real love is stronger than magic.
The Stolen Princess is the first animated feature film produced by Ukraine-based Animagrad (FILM.UA Group). The heroes and themes elaborated in the story will appeal to adults and children worldwide.
